The City of Ferguson, Kentucky began as a residential community for railroad workers. Constructed just north of the Cincinnati Southern Railroad’s engine repair facilities, The Ferguson Shops were most likely named after Cincinnati attorney and railroad founder Edward A. Ferguson, known as The Father of the Railway. Ferguson was incorporated by the state assembly in 1906.

The City of Ferguson is seeking a qualified contractor to design and install new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems including all ductwork and controls in the gym, community room, and basement level of the Ferguson City Park facility at 540 Hwy 3057, Ferguson, KY 42533.

Bids are to be enclosed in a separate envelope marked “Sealed Bid Ferguson City Park” and delivered to Ferguson City Hall at 414 Murphy Ave., Ferguson, KY 42533. Sealed bids will be accepted until 1:00 PM local time Sep 9, 2022. No late bids will be accepted. Bids will be opened at Ferguson City Council meeting at the Ferguson City Park Sep 12, 2022.

Contractors must have all licenses and certifications required by the State of Kentucky and Pulaski County to perform work submitted in the bid. The contractor must certify a minimum of $1 million general liability insurance,

workmen’s compensation, and business license in accordance with the policies of the City or Ferguson.

The scope of work includes designing and installing energy efficient heating, ventilation, air filtration, air conditioning, and dehumidifying systems to three areas at the Ferguson City Community Building and Gymnasium to meet all building codes and requirements.

The facilities will be available for contractor inspection for bidding Monday through Thursday. To arrange access, contact the City Clerk at Ferguson City Hall, 606-679-6500 located at 414 Murphy Ave., Ferguson, KY 42533.

Bids will be received by the City Clerk’s office located at 414 Murphy Ave., Ferguson, KY until 1:00 PM on Sep 9, 2022. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope and addressed as follows: Attn: HVAC Bid Ferguson Park, 414 Murphy Ave., Ferguson, KY 42533.

Property Tax

  • Tax rate is .158 for every hundred dollars. We currently have 505 tax bills we collect. If taxes are paid by December 1st, a 2% discount is given
  • Base amount is due by December 31st
  • Penalty of 20% plus 6% annually is added January 1st
